We need your help building an off-grid communications network throughout Hampton Roads using MeshCore.

What’s the Mission?

Our goal is to build an off-grid communications network here in the Hampton Roads area using MeshCore as the infrastructure.

What Is MeshCore?

MeshCore is an open-source off-grid communication system that uses inexpensive LoRa radios to create a regional mesh network.
No cell towers.
No internet.
Community-powered.

What We’re Doing

Our current focus during this initial deployment is the immediate Hampton Roads area. With enough volunteers, we can build:
A backbone network spanning the 7 cities.
Redundant off-grid communication
A community-driven tech project anyone can join.

You don’t need any radio experience… just an interest and a willingness to learn and help.

Ways You Can Help

🔧 Become a builder
Help plan, assemble, or deploy MeshCore nodes in your area.

🏠 Host a Repeater
If you have a home, hilltop, or property with good elevation, you might be the perfect host site. And if you’re part of a ham radio club with access to towers, those locations are especially valuable for repeater coverage.
